Deborah Ng Recital

Deborah Ng is 19 years old and is studying the Bachelor of Music (Performance) at the University of Melbourne under a full Faculty Merit Scholarship.  She was awarded the Licentiate of the Royal School of Music (LRSM) when she was 14 years old, and has been successful in numerous piano competitions.  Deborah was the winner of the Fremantle Open Concerto (2004), a National Finalist in the Yamaha Australian Youth Piano Competition (2005) and in the same year, was named Starsearch Western Australian Young Performer of the Year.  She completed Year 12 in Perth and received a perfect score for the practical component of Music in WA.  In 2008, Deborah moved to Melbourne to continue her piano studies with Dr. Anna Goldsworthy.  Last year, she was a Keyboard Finalist in the ABC Symphony Australia Young Performers Awards and was the recipient of the Judd-de Kretser Scholarship, Eric & Linda Jullyan Memorial Scholarship and Wright Prize at the University of Melbourne.  Deborah has had numerous live broadcasts on ABC Classic FM, and has performed as a concerto soloist with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra and Fremantle Symphony Orchestra.
